[v3.6] Now supports Comm Ports 0-15
Hall of Fame routine was working only partially. Correct
player was listed in HOF, but with a blank score.
If no one played the door or if the highest score obtained
during the month was zero, the game will NOT show a Hall of
Fame entry for the month.
Callers will be required to answer the "Want Instructions.."
question with a Y or N. This was required to circumvent a
problem encountered when running under WildCat's IM version.
Hall of Fame display was always displaying in color, regardless
of the color setting of the current session.
12/25/92
[v3.5] BRUN45.EXE no longer required!
Added support for Fossil-based Multi-Port cards!
New Configuration option to allow Sysop to choose whether
they want the computer to allocate 999 games to them or if
they just want to be like any other caller.
Corrected an alignment problem with the SUNHOF.ASC/ANS files.
All entries, from this point on, will be aligned properly.
You will have to manually align the existing entries (after
the next monthly maintenance run).
The Hall of Fame list will now be displayed to the player
after the High Scores (if the SUNHOF.ANS is found and the
Door is registered)
10/16/92
[v3.4] "File already open" error when performing Monthly
Maintenance.
10/10/92
[v3.3] Added support for TRIBBS software. We now access the
TRIBBS.SYS system file directly!
After a CHAT or DROP-TO-DOS the game screen will now be
restored to its original state.
A bug has existed in the monthly Hall of Fame routines
whereby the wrong player may have been credited with being
the high scorer for a particular month.
If a player had a Hiscore, it was not being displayed until
after they played the first game.
This version of LADDERS introduces "POOL" points. When you end
up losing points, LADDERS will place them into a "POOL". This
"POOL" will continue to accumulate all points lost by any
player. It will also accumulate the points lost by those
playing on any other node(s) at the same time. The "POOL"
points will be updated on the players screen REAL TIME (at the
moment the player on another node loses points). The "POOL"
points can be won by any player, if they win the game AND
2 of the 3 Ladders captured are the "2" AND "12" Ladders.
The minimum amount in the "POOL" will be 100 points.

[V3.2] Sorry for the rash of updates, but had to fix these bugs!!
When quiting the game before completing a game, the Hiscores
would not display. Only showed the heading!
Was not displaying the correct number of games the caller
was allowed to play.
06/05/92
[v3.1] When changing to the internal method of creating the Hall of
Fame files (SUNHOF.ASC/.ANS), I neglected to provide a way
for you to copy them to a bulletin of your own name/location.
With this version I have added 2 entries to the CFG file that
allows you to define the Drive\Path\Filenames for these files.
>>>>>>>>>> NOTE: You MUST discontinue use of SUNHOF.EXE for this DOOR!!!!
06/04/92
[v3.0] Major revision, therefore the version number jump!!
Added a MAKE-UP-PLAYS feature that allows the caller to makeup
game plays they may have missed during the current month. This
will afford those callers that do not call every day, an equal
chance to compete with callers that play every day.
Config file lines 6 and 7 have changed!!!!!!!
Be sure to read Documentation!!!
Automatic game reset will take place when the first caller of
the month plays the game. Two Hall of Fame bulletin files will
be created (SUNHOF.ANS and SUNHOF.ASC) and all scores cleared.
Be sure to read the Documentation!!!
You can now use an environmental variable for Non-Standard
IRQs. This will eliminate the need to have multiple batch
files to execute the door. See DOCs under NON-STANDARD COM
SUPPORT for details.
You can now use environmental variables, on the first line
of the configuration file. This will eliminate the requirement
that you create an individual configuration file for each node
in a multinode environment (ONE config file for ALL nodes!!).
See DOCs under MULTI-NODE SETUP for details.
Made some changes to fix the TIMEOUT errors encountered
when usinga 486 with/without DesqView. Need feedback !!
Made some changes to correct the Error #6 (Overflow Error)
when using SpitFire version 3.2/SFDOORS.DAT. I need some
feedback on this one as well!
Added support for GT Power's GTUSER.BBS file. To use this
you will be required to add to lines to your configuration
files. Please see Docs for changes. Need some feedback on
this as well!
12/29/91
[v2.8] Added an option to control when you DO NOT want the DOOR
to be used. Allows for 5 Blackout periods. This requires
a configuration file change. SEE DOCS for DETAILS!
"Number of Ladders to complete" configuration option has
been changed to allow Sysop to configure anywhere from
1-12 Ladders. Docs updated as well.
11/01/91
[v2.7] Added an option to control the number of plays per day,
based upon the user's security level. This requires a
configuration file change. SEE DOCs for DETAIL!
Added an option to control the length of time the game
may be played (each time caller enters the Door), based
upon the user's security level. This requires a
configuration file change. SEE DOCS for DETAILS!
10/17/91
[v2.6] Added a colorized bulletin. Config file change !!
Changes to internal routines.
09/06/91
[v2.5] Re-adjust delay values in non-registered version.
08/23/91
[v2.4] Changes made to several internal routines.
07/18/91
[v2.3] If ANSI not detected, caller has option to contimue or
return to BBS. No longer denies access to game, outright!
If Sysop uses the door, he/she is given 99 chances to
play the game. Registered versions ONLY!
Added support for Wildcat! v3.0 (See Docs.. Config file!)
Added support for WWIV BBS' (See Docs.. Config file [untested])
Under certain circumstances the program would hang the system
after displaying the ADOPT-A-DOOR screen
05/31/91
[v2.2] When displaying the High Scores, system would hang, in
Local mode.
Game will not be saved if there were no moves made.
Changed some internal variables relating to time left.
Added support for non-standard IRQ numbers (other than
IRQ3/IRQ4). See docs for implementation.
05/05/91
[v2.1] Door would hang, in local mode, when returning to BBS.
03/24/91
[v2.0] When presented with the "Press ENTER or E to exit" message,
pressing E caused another "Press ENTER to continue" message
to appear. Eliminated the second "Press ENTER..." message
after you press an E to exit.
When using DORINFOx.DEF, the door would stop at the start
of the game and require a key press to continue.
When using DORINFOx.DEF, the BBS NAME was not being picked
up from the configuration file and was not picking up the
correct NODE number from the configuration file.
03/10/91
[v1.9] Several problems related to DORINFOx.DEF
were corrected.
02/23/91
[v1.8] Internal changes to speed up program.
Will now test for maximum games reached BEFORE asking
if you want to play another game.
Corrected "hung system" when responding to a
"Press ENTER to COntinue, E to end" message.
02/12/91
[v1.7] Error 52 encountered when leaving the game, under
a network environment.
02/08/91
[v1.6] Internal routine changes.
01/13/91
[v1.5] Added error trapping routines
Changed method of creating filenames that hold the
"saved" game. This will accomodate 1-word handles.
01/05/91
[v1.4] "Illegal Function Call" error msg generated when Time
Remaining was greater than 999. Seems some Sysops give
themselves large amounts of time.
01/02/91 [v1.3] In unregistered version program would produce a "Bad
File Name or number..." error msg when exiting the game.
The instructions question will now default to "N".
01/01/91
[v1.2] Problem with last page of instructions not remaining
on screen.
Several other internal changes to handle errors.
12/29/90
[v1.1] Added automatic ANSI compatability check
Added a check for time remaining
DORINFOx.DEF now handles security levels > 32767
"Warning x Minutes Remain..." message messed up display -
Message has been eliminated.
When saving a game, the pgm was always using "SYSOPxxx" as
the filename for the saved file. It should have had the
first 5 characters of the callers name. This still worked
as it should have just a little cleaner looking now.
12/15/90
[v1.0] Initial release
